Jeremy Van Kralingen, Executive Chef

Jeremy was born and raised in the small town of Hilo, Hawaii. At a young age he was inspired and influenced by the home-style cooking of both his mother and grandmother. After honing his skills at some of Santa Barbara’s greatest restaurants including The Lark and julienne, Jeremy has found himself at home at Wine Cask. His cooking principles are anchored to the idea the that best food comes from the best local ingredients. His innovative style utilizes traditional cooking techniques while drawing inspiration from an array of international cooking styles, recipes, and flavors.

Leslee Garafalo, GENERAL MANAGER

Leslee Garafalo, native Californian began working in the industry shortly after high school graduation. She started as a server for Charley Brown restaurants and quickly worked her way up the ladder to Newport Beach Ritz Restaurant where she discovered her passion for fine dining and hospitality service. In 2000 she was relocated to Denver, Colorado and began managing one of America’s top ten prime steakhouses, where she became a Certified Court of Masters Sommelier, over seeing the wine and beverage program, daily operations and private events. After leaving Morton’s Steakhouse she spent nearly five years as Director of Events for commercial developer John Madden Company, a special event venue in Denver Colorado, producing food and wine events, fundraisers and weddings. Leslee brings a wealth of experience back to California. She has spent the past four years managing for Montesano Group at the elegant Tre Lune in Montecito. Leslee is the owner of Santa Barbara Uncorked LLC and also started Santa Barbara’s first Restaurant Week. Leslee strives to create memorable experiences for guests and a positive working environment for employees. She recently received “Manager of the Year” award presented by Hospitality of Santa Barbara and now serves as a board member. Leslee enjoys family, tennis, cooking, wine tasting and loves to walk on the beach.

Jenny Roberts, Event Manager

Jenny has been in the event management and wedding coordination industry for more than 12 years, and marked her 20th anniversary in the restaurant industry this past year. She graduated in 2007 from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s of University Studies with a focus in Marketing & Public Relations and English Creative Writing. In 2009 she went back to school to start her second Bachelor’s in Business, when the beautiful beaches of Santa Barbara began calling her name. Since her move here, she has immersed herself in the hospitality industry, in positions ranging from Venue Coordinator, Restaurant Manager, Marketing & Event  Coordinator and even Mood Director. This gives her a unique outlook on service and execution of the events she has managed. With her extensive experience and background Marketing, she embraces marketing concepts to create strategic and well planned timelines. She has a stellar reputation and prides herself on the level of integrity she brings to her position. Her goal is to always provide transparent and open communication with her clients and go the extra mile to meet their expectations.
